Its A Small World has been around in fantasyland a long time and is mostly enjoyed by the very young and very old.
The Small World theme that plays throughout the ride is hard to get out of your head after you leave.
When I worked as an architect for WED Enterprises (Walt Disney Imagineering) in Glendale, we were right next door to MAPO where they built many of the audio-animatronic elements for rides at Disneyland.
During lunchtime, we would often walk around MAPO to see what they were working on.
I used to have a broken Small World Doll that I had found in the trash.
Aparently, aroundk 2012, Disney shut down its MAPO Division and turned over the work to Garner Holt Productions.
